Hundreds of political prisoners from Sittwe Prison in the Arakan State capital were transferred to Pathein Prison in Ayeyarwady Region on Tuesday night.

The AA has so far seized the No. 9 Military Operations Command in Kyauktaw and the No. 15 Military Operations Command in Buthidaung, Arakan State.

The regime also reportedly used 23 trucks to move family members of junta personnel in Ann out of Arakan State on Tuesday morning.

A member of the Arakkha Army's (AA) nascent Department of Law Enforcement and Public Security (DLEPS) was killed and two others were wounded during an ambush by the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) in Buthidaung Township on Tuesday, according to the AA.

A junta jet bombed the civilian hospital, opened at the village school on a temporary basis, damaging some buildings, according to a local health worker.

Monday's warning urged people to stay fully alert, not to travel unless necessary, and to exercise vigilance while undertaking any travel that may be necessary.

The Arakkha Army (AA) has seized the Myanmar regime's Mt. Mel tactical command base and nearby military camps, about 2 miles from Ann Town where the military's Western Command is located, the ethnic armed group said in a statement on Tuesday.

Two civilians were killed and three others were injured as the regime bombed Khayaymyaing Village, part of Arakan State’s Maungdaw Township, two times on Monday evening.

The civilian casualties were reported after a Y-12 military aircraft dropped three bombs on Tanhlwe Ywama's Ward 4 on the night of October 7.

The military has dug trenches along several of the roads to Sittwe, including from Padaleik Village to the Sittwe Regional Operations Command headquarters and from Shwe Mingan Jetty to the entrance to the town.

The junta has set up additional security checkpoints in Taungup since the last week of June, tightening security checks on passersby and arresting some residents.

"More and more people have become jobless as the fighting continues. We are seeing elderly people, children and in some cases, entire families, begging," said one Kyauktaw resident.

A group of seven locals were attacked by ARSA members near Meetaik Village at around 4 p.m. on October 6 as they were returning from Taungpyo Town in northern Maungdaw Township after purchasing commodities.

"Today's fighting was not fierce. The AA fires mortar shells into the military's Western Command in Ann daily," said one military source on Sunday.

Trawlers from other parts of the country are fishing in the sea some 10 miles from the shore near Minpyin Village by bribing the Myanmar Navy, according to residents.

The regime has targeted Lashio with indiscriminate airstrikes since late August following the visit of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to Naypyidaw to meet with junta chief Min Aung Hlaing in mid-August.
