Myanmar's military regime reportedly carried out an air attack on a temporary hospital in Pan Nilar Village, part of Arakan State's Ponnagyun Township, at around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
A junta jet bombed the civilian hospital, opened at the village school on a temporary basis, damaging some buildings, according to a local health worker.
"Fortunately, the main hospital building was not hit. The bomb exploded at the back of the hospital. There were no casualties. Some buildings were damaged. The hospital only provides healthcare services for civilians, and has nothing to do with armed groups," he said.
The Ponnagyun Public Hospital was temporarily moved to Pan Nilar Village following the Arakkha Army's seizure of Ponnagyun Town.
A man from Ponnagyun Town denounced the junta's attack on a healthcare facility serving civilians.
"The targeted attack on civilians receiving medical treatment shows the junta's cruelty. The international community must take harsh action against the regime, which has been committing crimes against civilians," he said.
The regime has carried out air raids on at least four hospitals across four townships over the course of the latest fighting in Arakan State, which began in November 2023, killing several civilians including women and children.
At least 18 civilians were killed and eight others were killed when the regime carried out air attacks on Tanhlwe Ywama Town in Taungup Township and Khayay Myaing Village in Maungdaw Township on Monday.
At least 50 civilians have been killed and 20 others were injured in junta air raids since October 1, according to a DMG tally.
