The Arakan Army (AA) stated that they have captured a Tatmadaw camp located near Tin Nyo village in Mrauk-U Township on October 17.
The AA said that they found out food, weapons, documents and other military equipment in the camp and seized them.
“When our troops surrounded the Tatmadaw’s temporary camp near Tin Nyo village in Mrauk-U Township, the camp guard soldiers ran away. We have seized food and weapons from the camp,” Khaing Thukha, the AA’s spokesperson said.
Colonel Win Zaw Oo, head of the Western Command, denied the AA’s statement.
“That’s just disinformation, the AA is just making up stories,” he said.
The Tatmadaw and the AA had a clash on October 17 near Aung Ma Kyaw village in Ponnagyun Township.
