Air attacks by Myanmar’s military regime have forced almost all 500 residents of Myeikwa village in Chin State’s Paletwa Township to flee to the Indian border.

The Arakan Army (AA) reportedly ambushed a truck traveling in an area under the control of the Myanmar military’s Western Command in southern Arakan State’s Ann Township on Thursday.

The junta-controlled Myanma Alin newspaper reported on Friday that the regime is trying to reoccupy a regime outpost near the Bangladeshi border that the Arakan Army (AA) seized on August 31. 

The family of a young woman who was stabbed to death last month near the government offices in Sittwe, Arakan State, has demanded that the perpetrator be punished publicly.
