The Myanmar military has tightened security along the Tanintharyi-Kawthaung road and in Dawei Township, Tanintharyi Region, since June 16, according to locals.

With the results of the matriculation examination out on Friday, 19,729 of 41,775 students who sat for the test in Arakan State passed, and the pass rate was 47.25 percent, according to the Department of Examinations.
