The Arakan Army (AA) has been attempting to seize a junta camp near Myeikwa Village in Paletwa Township, Chin State, the Three Brotherhood Alliance said in a statement on December 22.
The AA launched an attack on Point 377, a junta camp about five kilometres south of Myeikwa Village near Border Post 9.
Fierce fighting between the military and AA has been intensifying in Paletwa Township since November 14. The Arakan Army occupied junta tactical command outposts in Taron Eain and Nonebu villages, the ethnic armed group said in a statement.
The AA also seized more than 140 BGF outposts and police stations abandoned by junta troops and two tactical command bases within the first 45 days of the latest hostilities in Arakan State, which began on November 13, the ethnic armed group has said.
Among the many military camps attacked by the AA, most of the camps have been completely captured, while others have been partially captured and or are on the verge of being completely taken, according to Friday’s statement from the Three Brotherhood Alliance.
