Junta airstrikes on Ponnagyun, Rathedaung villages kill one, injure three
A military regime airstrike on Kyaukseik Village in Ponnagyun Township and Kutaung Village in Rathedaung Township, Arakan State, killed one local resident and injured three others on the night of September 30, according to local sources.

A military regime airstrike on Kyaukseik Village in Ponnagyun Township and Kutaung Village in Rathedaung Township, Arakan State, killed one local resident and injured three others on the night of September 30, according to local sources.
Shortly after 9:00 p.m. on September 30, a junta jet fighter bombed Kyaukseik Village, a location sheltering displaced civilians near Ponnagyun Town, injuring two people, including a 4-year-old child and a woman.
"The junta jet fighter was circling and bombing areas around Ponnagyun all night," a Ponnagyun resident said. "Kyaukseik Village hosts many displaced civilians, and several injuries were reported."
The injured victims in Ponnagyun were identified as 4-year-old Maung Nay Kyaw Lin and 26-year-old Ma Khin Khin Than, both internally displaced people from Ponnagyun Town.
Maung Nay Kyaw Lin suffered a severe injury to his left leg, while Ma Khin Khin Than sustained serious shrapnel wounds across her body.
Local residents reported a formation of junta jet fighters carrying out continuous airstrikes on Ponnagyun Town and surrounding areas from the evening of September 30.
In Rathedaung Township, the military regime bombed Kutaung Village on Mosel Island shortly after 10:00 p.m. on September 30, killing one person and injuring another.
"The bomb hit a residential home, striking a married couple. The husband died on the spot and his wife was injured," a Rathedaung resident said. "Nearby homes were destroyed, and some villagers are now temporarily fleeing."
The deceased victim was identified as 51-year-old U Aung Tun Thein, while the injured victim was identified as 41-year-old Daw Win Nu.
The military regime has continued daily airstrikes against civilian residential areas across Arakan State amid intensifying fighting.
Heavy clashes between military regime forces and the Arakan Army continue in Sittwe Township, while regime forces have also carried out aerial bombardments against civilian settlements in neighboring Ponnagyun, Rathedaung, and Werathani townships.
On September 28, a junta airstrike targeting the India Market and Kissapanadi Bridge in Kyauktaw Town killed 50 people and injured at least 58 others. The attack involved two 500-pound bombs and caused extensive damage in the surrounding area.
