Family members are concerned for the wellbeing of a 13-year-old from Arakan State’s Maungdaw Township who was detained five days ago.

The Myanmar military raided the Yanaungmyay camp for internally displaced people (IDPs) in Buthidaung town, Arakan State, at around 1 a.m. on October 4, opening fire during the course of the raid and causing concern among resident IDPs.

Myanmar’s military government has accused anti-regime forces of killing Dr. Myint Myint San, the education officer for Maungdaw District, Arakan State, the junta-controlled Myanmar Alinn newspaper reported on Tuesday. 

Nine civilians were killed and 19 others were injured by air and artillery strikes from the Myanmar military regime in September in Kayah (Karenni) State, according to the Karenni Nationalities Defence Force (KNDF).
