Four civilians from Pyaing Chaung and Kyauk Maw villages in Minbya Township have been arrested by the Tatmadaw, according to their families.

Land has been designated for construction of government offices in Lay Taung Town, Ramree Township in Arakan State.

A Tatamadaw troop entered Ohe Htein village in Mrauk-U Township on 26 November and interrogated villagers assembled in the village monastery, villagers said.

More than 600 internally displaced persons (IDPs) who are taking shelter in Rakha Wuntha Foundation refugee camp in Kam Htaung Gyi town, Myebon Township, are in dire need of food and clothing including mosquito nets and blankets.

The Arakan Army (AA) fired on a Tatmadaw vessel with artillery from land while the craft was in May Yu River of Rathedaung Township at about 3 p.m. on 25 November and the Tatmadaw retaliated against the AA with artillery fire.

After the Arakan Army (AA) had released the list of its 13 hostages with photos and video footage of 13 military personnel it captured during a fighting in Paletwa Township, Chin State, the Tatmadaw said it was verifying them.

A Muslim family who fled from Myanmar to Bangladesh, have been repatriated to Maungdaw in Arakan State voluntarily on 25 November.

A court martial will start on 26 November to examine those who were initially found suspected in a situation that occurred in Gutar Pyin village, Buthidaung Township, the Office of Commander-in-Chief announced.

In the wake of the abduction of a police officer, bus driver U Tun Chay from Paikthay ward in Kyauktaw Township has been arrested and accused under section 50 (a) and (b) and 52 (a) of the Anti-Terrorism Act.

A villager who received severe injuries by gunfire during the attack on six vessels including a military boat in Kyauktaw Township, has been transferred from Sittwe hospital to Yangon hospital on 24 November.

Eight Tatmadaw soldiers were killed and total of 13 people including a lieutenant and a warrant officer surrendered after fighting in Paletwa Township in Chin State on the afternoon of 19 November, the AA announced.

The World Bank is trying to initiate a project which can connect the local market with international markets in Arakan State, including providing financial assistance for small businesses and vocational training, officials from the World Bank said.

“The Tatmadaw unit was shooting off weapons all day. Actually, there is no fighting near that village and I can see houses ablaze now but I am too afraid of going there to check it out,”

The road to Mt. Maygawady Myay Ni, a historical location in Manaung Township, has been repaired annually through donations from local people, said U Kyaw Moe Naing, a member of Saydanar Shin Charity Group. 

The Chairman of the Tatmadaw True News Information Team Maj-Gen Soe Naing Oo warned not to exploit the situation of the government and the Tatmadaw that has to be patient to attain peace.

Fighting between the Tatmadaw and the Arakan Army have prevented farmers to harvest more than 12,000 acres of paddy fields in Rathedaung, Buthidaung, Ponnagyun, Mrauk-U, Minbya, and Myebon townships, according to Arakan State Farmers’ Union.

Two civilians, who were travelling on a motorbike at night in Ponnagyun Township were shot by the Tatmadaw, both are receiving medical treatment now.

Spokesperson of the AA Khaing Thukha said they will not permit the Tatmadaw to provide arms and supply provisions under the guise of the Kaladan project.

Myanmar has been elected to the Executive Board of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) representing the Asia-Pacific group (ASPAC), according to a source from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
