All residents from Ywar Tharyar village (Yaw Chaung) in Myebon Township have fled their village on November 14 after Tatmadaw soldiers entered the village and questioned residents for a second time.

Residents from Awyama village in Ponnagyun Township fled their village to Poe Shiepyin and Sinthay villages after stray shells and bullets landed near their village.

Construction of the 1,256-foot long Kinchaung Bridge, which has been built across the Kinchaung creek situated on Zinchaung-Kinmyaung-Lay Taung road in Kyaukphyu District of Arakan State, is expected to be finished in April 2020.

A proposal was submitted to Pyidaungsu Hluttaw on November 13 by Dr Hla Moe, a member of Pyithu Hluttaw from Aung Myay Thar Zan constituency in Mandalay division, to release government officials and civilians, including Chin State MP U Hwei Tin detained by the Arakan Army (AA).

More than 40 Chin organizations issued a joint statement on November 11, and it calls for the release of Amyothar Hluttaw member U Hwei Tin detained by the Arakan Army (AA) immediately.

Members of the Tatmadaw arrived at the village on the morning of 10 November at about 6 a.m. and checked village houses, said an anonymous villager.

A military troop apprehended Abbot Bhaddanta U Kawidaza from Ohe Htein village, Mrauk-U Township, the village administrator U Wai Soe Tun and motorist U Maung Tha Sein on 20 September. They were arrested on the way near Mt.Linn Mway, Mrauk-U Township.

The IDPs in Wah Taung camp, Kyauktaw Township are facing difficulties to continue staying in the camp because the camp is built on farmland and the landowners have asked camp residents to start paying rent.

Locals said that while Daw U Khin Than, 32 and her husband U Maung Hla Aye were traveling by boat to Ywar Tharyar village from Wat Yu village in Myebon at around 9 a.m. on November 10 to sell fish, the Tatmadaw soldiers shot and killed Daw U Khin Than.

A dusk-to-dawn curfew order has been imposed in Chin State’s Paletwa Township for two months as of 9 November, according to the Paletwa Township administration office.
