Across Myanmar, the number of people with disabilities is increasing due to the regime’s airstrikes, along with a growing number of encounters involving explosive remnants of war (ERWs), including landmines.

“The AA soldiers also helped us with rebuilding our houses. The AA tries to facilitate and build as many temporary houses as possible,” said a Minbya resident.

Malaysian authorities have been raiding houses, restaurants, factories and farms daily, leaving those working in those places in constant fear, said workers from Arakan State in Malaysia.

During the three-plus years since Myanmar’s military coup, at least 1,840 people have been arrested by the regime for “their online expression on social media or online communications opposing the Myanmar military and supporting pro-democracy movements and resistance groups,” Data for Myanmar said in a recent report.

In November, the regime's airstrikes and the like killed 34 civilians, including children and the elderly, and injured 35 others. In September, the regime killed 27 civilians and injured 58 in Arakan State.

Fighting began on August 8 in Bogale and Chinkwin villages, on the border between Thandwe and Gwa. The fighting is now moving closer to Gwa Town after the AA captured Kyeintali Town.

Displaced pregnant women are not only unvaccinated or under-vaccinated, but also suffer from nutritional deficiencies due to financial hardships, causing widespread worry over the well-being of their children.

Residents injured by junta airstrikes in Arakan State’s Maungdaw say they cannot afford to seek medical treatment, while at the same time medicines are in short supply.

Two internally displaced people (IDPs) were killed and 19 others were injured in a junta airstrike on Khayaing Village, part of Arakan State's Taungup Township, on Sunday evening.

Fighting in Gwa Township has displaced tens of thousands of people, with most urban residents fleeing to mainland Myanmar, while rural residents have largely taken refuge in AA-controlled areas.

Junta troops are preparing to make a defensive stand at the Western Command headquarters in Ann Township, Arakan State, following significant losses to the Arakkha Army (AA) over recent months, according to sources.

The demand for sand has significantly increased recently as the construction industry has revived in some townships liberated by the AA.

Fighting remains oftentimes intense in Maungdaw, and international aid agencies and local civil society organisations are unable to resume humanitarian operations due to ongoing clashes and the threat of junta airstrikes.

At least 17 civilians have been killed and 31 others injured as the junta has bombed Thandwe at least five times since the AA's seizure of the town on September 5.

An Arakan worker in Mongla explained: “We still could work with remaining building materials after the border was closed. But they ran out nearly two months ago, leaving us with no job to do. We are struggling to make ends meet.”

The AA seized at least 10 military camps near the No. 5 Military Operations Command in Taungup Township and the University of Taungup during that period, the statement said.

“The AA continues to launch an offensive assault on the regime’s Border Guard Police Battalion No. 5, the last standing junta battalion in besieged Arakan State’s Maungdaw,” the statement added.

Goods from India are imported to Ramree Township via Arakan State’s Kyauktaw and Minbya townships, resulting in high transportation costs that have in turn led to prices rising dramatically.

On November 24, the AA took full control of Taungup Town from the regime.The AA stated that thieves have been arrested daily with stolen items despite security measures taken by the ethnic armed group to prevent theft.
